Part of the Boiling Point events series
This printmaking workshop invites you to explore the potentials of a simple and more sustainable print method: drypoint on Tetra Pak. Using a traditional etching technique, we will explore different forms of mark making to create patterns and imagery. In the workshop you can ink up your Tetra Pak ‘plate’ and print it in a miniature printing press.
All equipment will be provided on the day. Please note that the etching needles are sharp and young children must have adult supervision from a parent/ guardian when taking part. We will use Caligo Safe Wash etching ink, which can be washed with warm soapy water, but please be aware this process can get messy!
Ben and Anna will be leading this workshop. They specialise in printmaking, having learnt and developed skills throughout their BA Fine Art and MA degrees.
This workshop is free and open to all. Children over 9 years are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult There is no booking needed, just drop in.
