An exhibition featuring OHOS members and studio artists
As part of Heritage Open Days, 571Oxford Road Gallery is host to an exhibition of artists who are members of OpenHand OpenSpace, a network of artists centred upon Reading. Including painting, sculptures, collages and installations, this exhibition, alongside the open studios of resident artists, showcases a diverse collection of artworks that engage in some way with the themes of this year’s Heritage Open Days - Routes-Networks-Connections. Featuring OHOS artists Maria Bagnoli, Susan Cunningham, Andrea Gallo, Ivilina Kouneva, Philip Newcombe and OHOS studio artists Güler Ates, Tyla Crowley, Susanne Clausen, Pavlo Kerestey, Petre Nikoloski , John Percy, Kristin Rawcliffe, Sam Stead, and Sebastian Thomas. The exhibition is in the ground floor gallery and there will be tours of the OpenHand OpenSpace studios upstairs over the course of the weekend.
Life is lived … along paths, not just in places, and paths are lines of a sort. It is along paths, too, that people grow into a knowledge of the world around them, and describe this world in the stories they tell. - Tim Ingold Lines
